De heer Tim Tromp uit Michigan (www.BulbCollector.com) stuurde een email met de onderstaande tekst en foto's:

"These photos were taken by me on May 4th, 2006 after learning that DeKhotinsky and his wife were laid to rest in Pentwater, Michigan. Pentwater is a village on the shores of Lake Michigan about thirty miles North of me. Pentwater was once a popular summer vacation destination for people from the Chicago area, like DeKhotinsky. Many of those who vacationed along the beautiful shores of Lake Michigan would eventually retire in this area as DeKhotinsky did in Pentwater."

Op zaterdag 17 november 2007 werd door Wethouder Cultuur & Participatie Orhan Kaya op het Noordereiland in Rotterdam de plaquette onthuld ter herinnering aan de elektriciteitspionier Achilles de Khotinsky. Deze plaquette is te zien aan de Prins Hendrikkade op de hoek van de De Ruyterstraat.
